Special Move - Destined Fate

Hwaryun becomes immune to status effects and stuns 2 enemies closest to the ally with the highest ATK for 2 sec, then teleports the stunned enemies next to her.

She swings the scythe to deal 1600% of her ATK as DMG 2 times to enemies in range and sends them Airborne for 4 sec.

At the same time, Hwaryun grants a fate destined toward victory to the ally with the highest ATK (excluding herself), increasing their ATK by 50%, Critical Hit Rate by 10%, and Critical DMG by 20% for 16 sec. (Max: 4 stacks, duration resets when stacks refresh)

Active Skill - Witch’s Scythe

Hwaryun swings a scythe to deal 400% of her ATK as DMG to nearby enemies 5 times, and with each hit, she decreases the target’s Basic Attack Resistance by 10% until the end of the battle. (Max: 10 stacks)

Active Skill - Beginning

Hwaryun removes all enemies’ Concealed state and decreases their ATK by 60% for 10 sec.

Then grants all allies a Hit Barrier with 5 durability that lasts for 10 sec.

Passive - The Path Walked Together

If allies who were granted Fate do not die, Hwaryun's HP will not drop below 1.

Additionally, each time Hwaryun performs a basic attack, her basic attack coefficient increases by 50%. (Max: 20 stacks)

Alternatives

Notes

Bari is the best pick on her, as we only need her to cast the Special Move.
El is a decent option too, but you will need to protect her before her first Special Move. Placing her in the back row could help, because she will cast her Active Skill pretty early on.
Idea should be a good set for Bossing, as she can more quickly provide the 4 stacks of her Special Move to your DPS.
Runda, Doris and other supporting sets can still work, but the same conditions as El apply.

Unit Synergies

Bam
Bam
Leviathan
Hwaryun can provide a huge damage boost to Bam in boss fights, and even in Adventure she can protect him really well.
Traumerei
Traumerei
Family Head
Hwaryun can protect summons too, which makes her a great support for Traumerei.
Luslec
Luslec
Head of FUG
Luslec mainly needs frontline units to buy time until he cleans up, and Hwaryun can do that thanks to her passive; she won't even need to be R5 to be used with Luslec.
Cha
Cha
First Man
Cha benefits from the Damage Buffs and Survivability buffs, but the same can be said for most of the DPS units we have in this game, most of them will work well with Hwaryun. Cha helps Hwaryun against SSR+ Yihwa, so you have one less counter.
Alphine
Alphine
Shadow Girl
Alphine can provide some initial survivability and allow Hwaryun to potentially run El or other sets instead of Bari. You can obviously use other supports that can protect her early and they will work well too.

Basic Teams

These are just example teams and are by no means the best possible combinations. We avoid using units that are not easily obtainable or common.

Augusgus

Cha
Cha
First Man
Premium team, but they work really well against most enemies.
Yirang can be 0 dupes, and potentially Cha too, Hugo and Augusgus will deal enough damage.

Multi-Color Team

Yirang Yeon

Great Family
Hwaryun
Hwaryun
Red-Haired Witch
Rashut
Rashut
Chimera
Cha
Cha
First Man
Khun Mascheny
Khun Mascheny
Lightning Spear
Yirang, Rashut and Cha can be 0 dupes, they are mostly there for utility, Khun Mascheny and Hwaryun need Orange 4.
There is nothing much to this team, Yirang will group enemies and Mascheny will delete all of them.
Rashut is there to apply HP Recovery block to the last unit that might survive Mascheny offensive, you can replace her with any HP Recovery block unit. Cha will prevent annoying enemies from using their Special Moves.

If your ACC is lower than the enemy EVA, a Slot 1 upgrade might be needed if you care about whether this unit hits or not.
If upgrading Slot 3 can get your EVA to be higher than the enemy ACC, upgrading Slot 3 could be worth it.
If your Deficit is higher than 300 / 350, Slot 4 Resistances are pretty much ineffective and can be left to +0.
The flat ATK, DEF and HP stats are useless.

Notes:

Stats can vary, but in the end Effect Resistance, Effect Hit and ACC will be the key ones to go for.
Main stat in Slot 5 can be whatever, Physical Pierce would be fine too.

Additional Notes

With this level of investment she will provide very limited survivability to the team.
She will just work as a stall tank for DPS units that can sustain themselves.
