David provides Energy and damage buff to ATK scaling DPS units. His Debuff Removal is quite good, and his Revolution makes him better suited for Physical Damage Dealers.

Special Move - Blessing of Souls Zone
Creates Blessing of Souls Zone around himself for 7 sec. Removes debuffs on allies in the zone when creating it. Allies in the Blessing of Souls Zone receive Blessing of Souls for 5 sec. The ATK of allies with Blessing of Souls increases by 120% while using the Special Move. Allies in the Blessing of Souls Zone become Immune to debuff.
Active Skill - Spirit Enhancement
David awakens the soul in the dagger to enhance the basic attack for 8 sec. Enhancing it deals a Slash with each hit, dealing 300% of ATK as DMG and reducing the enemy's Energy by 80. Gains Status Effects Immunity while using this skill.
Active Skill - Spirit Essence
David restores Energy of the ally with the highest ATK by 200, and applies Spirit Essence to this ally to increase their skill ATK coefficient by 100% for 10 sec.
Passive - Magic Circle
Once the battle begins, David triggers Magic Circle every 5 sec restoring Energy of nearby allies by 100. DMG Taken decreases by 10% for each ally within the Magic Circle for 5 sec. (Max: 4 stacks)

Spirit Enhancement is enhanced, increasing the duration by additional 4 sec.
Level 2 Effect
Blessing of Souls Zone is enhanced, increasing the duration by an additional 5 sec.
Level 3 Effect
The Energy Decrease effect on Spirit Enhancement is changed to Steal.
Level 4 Effect
Magic Circle is enhanced, additionally restoring Energy of allies near the Magic Circle by 50.
Revolution 4: Blessing of Souls Zone
Physical Pierce of allies who received Blessing of Souls from Blessing of Souls Zone increases by 40% while it is active.
Revolution 5: Magic Circle
Increases nearby allies' ATK and DEF by 30% for 10 sec each time David creates Magic Circle using Magic Circle. (Max: 5 stacks)
Revolution 6 [PvP ONLY]
Increases Swiftness by 50 and Max HP by 100% in Arenas.
(This Buff cannot be removed with buff removal skills.)

Notes
Bari is best for overall survivability, with El coming close and potentially outperforming Bari in some scenarios.
Rafflesia, Runda or Doris are acceptable options as well, but generally not as effective as the other two.
