Escanor main use is to silence the enemy frontline by running Raihanna.
Other than that, his kit is nothing too valuable and doesn't make him a great pick for your teams.

Special Move - Divine Sword Escanor

Escanor becomes immune to status effects and slashes down slowly with the blade of his hand, dealing 1,000% of his ATK as DMG which always results in Critical Hits, Stunning for 3s.

Escanor's Physical Pierce increases by 40% when using this attack.

Active Skill - Swing

Escanor laughs loftily for 3s, Provoking nearby enemies. He then swings his Sacred Axe Rhitta to deal 640% of his ATK as DMG to Provoked enemies.

Escanor's Critical Hit Resistance increases by 40% while Provoking enemies.

Active Skill - Cruel Sun

Escanor becomes immune to status effects and launches a Cruel Sun at where the enemies are most concentrated.

Upon hitting the ground, the Cruel Sun pulls enemies in and explodes to deal 800% of his ATK as DMG to enemies in range. He then decreases their MOV SPD by 50% for 5s.

Passive - Sunshine

Escanor creates a Solar Zone around himself at the start of the battle.

The zone deals 80% of his ATK as DMG every second to enemies inside it and decreases their ATK by 20%.

The zone increases Physical Resistance and Magic Resistance of allies inside it including himself by 20%, and Max HP by 20%.

In addition, Escanor grows in size when the clock hits noon, 25s after the start of the battle.

He then becomes Invincible for 3s and increases his Max HP by 40%, ATK by 40%, DEF by 40%, and all effect coefficients of Solar Zone by 1.5 times until the end of the battle.

In addition, the first time Escanor takes fatal DMG in battle, Escanor becomes Invincible for 3s and burns up his life energy to pull in enemies every second and decrease their MOV SPD by 75% for 3s before finally dying.

The time it takes until noon for "Sunshine" decreases by an additional 5s.

Level 3 Effect

The Solar Zone created by "Sunshine" decreases the HP Recovery of enemies inside it by 50%.

Level 4 Effect

The time it takes until noon for "Sunshine" decreases by an additional 10s.

Revolution 4: Sunshine

Escanor removes all debuffs from himself when noon for “Sunshine” activates, healing him for 10% of his Max HP for each debuff removed. (Max: 5)

Revolution 5: Cruel Sun

Escanor deals 5% of his Max HP as additional DMG to the enemy hit by “Cruel Sun”

Revolution 6 [PvP ONLY]

Escanor’s HP increases by 100% and DEF by 120% in Arenas.
(This buff cannot be removed with buff removal skills.)

Alternatives

Notes

Raihanna is Escanor's best set because of the AoE silence he can apply to the enemy frontline at the start of the battle.
Bari is good for survivability purposes and would make for a decent alternative.
Myeongwol, after the buff, isn't a bad pick, but considering Escanor's provoke is on an Active Skill I wouldn't run it.
