Lero Ro has a great kit to support Magic and Basic Attack based DPS units, his main shortcoming is his poor survivability.
If he could reliably stay alive, he would have a higher value.
Lero Ro creates shinsu barriers that last 6s for all of his allies. When the barriers are created, the ATK and DEF of the ally with the lowest HP percentage each increase by 80% for 6s (will not apply to Lero Ro). Shinsu barriers block projectile attacks, and the protected allies regain HP equal to 400% of Lero Ro's ATK for each projectile blocked.
Lero Ro enhances his weapon using the Dangan Style Weapon Reinforcement Technique, applying Blitz to all allies for 8s. Blitz increases their basic attack DMG by 120% and decreases the Energy of the targets hit by their basic attack by 16. If the target is a summoned being, the basic attack DMG increases by an additional 60%.
Lero Ro creates a lightning zone which deals 320% of his ATK as DMG to enemies in range every second for 6s. The first attack of the lightning zone Paralyzes targets in range for 2s.
Lero Ro increases all allies' Magic Pierce by 16% at the start of the battle.
He then increases all allies' Magic Pierce by an additional 6% every 10s once the battle begins. (Max: 4 stacks)
Magic Resistance
Lero Ro recovers 50 Energy for each enemy hit by Lightning Zone.
Each projectile stopped with Shinsu Barrier increases the target ally's DEF by 10% for 6s. (Max: 5 stacks)
When increasing allies' ATK and DEF with a Shinsu Barrier, Lero Ro gains the same effects.
Shinsu Amplification is enhanced to decrease the activation time of the additional Magic Pierce increase by 5s.
Increases all allies' DEF by 200% for 6s when Shinsu Barrier activates. (Does not stack)
Shinsu Amplification is enhanced, increasing all allies' Magic Pierce by 16% at the start of the battle.
Also increases all allies' Magic Pierce by an additional 6% every 10s once the battle begins. (Max: 4 stacks)
Increases DEF by 120% and HP by 100% in Arenas.
(This buff cannot be removed with buff removal skills.)

Bari is best for overall survivability.
Runda on paper works well with his Special Move, but it is going to be hard to keep him alive until then.
Rafflesia or Doris are acceptable options as well, but generally not as effective as the other two.
