Karaka has a lot of provoke skills, DEF shred and a pretty good survivability.
Revolution 4 makes his special move group enemies, which is extremely useful, and also provides a rare Purple Element Resistance Decrease.
Karaka summons a black orb, pushes nearby enemies back, then Provokes them to attack the black orb for 4s. Karaka becomes immune to status effects while creating the black orb creation ends, dealing 120% of his ATK as DMG 3 times to enemies in an area and Knocking them Back. The black orb then deals 100% of the absorbed DMG as additional DMG. (Additional DMG cap - 1000% of caster’s ATK).
Karaka summons 6 dark orbs in random locations for 10s, dealing 400% of his ATK as DMG to enemies who come in contact with them and Provoking enemies for 5s.
Karaka utilizes his special Armor Inventory to become immune to status effects for 5s, decreases his DMG taken by 80%, and Provokes nearby enemies for 5s. He unleashes a windstorm in front of himself when the Armor Inventory is removed, dealing 200% of his ATK as DMG to enemies within range 4 times and jolts them.
The first time Karaka takes fatal DMG in battle, he is revived with 80% of his Max HP Recovered. He then deals 100% of his ATK as DMG to nearby enemies and inflicts Fear on them for 3s.

Rain of Darkness's Black Orb creation duration increases by an additional 1s.

Targets directly provoked by Karaka have their DEF decreased by 50% while they are Provoked.
Resets all skill cooldowns and increases P.DMG and M.DMG Reduction by 30% until the end of the battle when Infinite Past Lives activates.
Purple element resistance of enemies Provoked by Rain of Darkness decreases by 60% for 15s. Also decreases DMG Taken by 90% while creating a dark orb and pulls in nearby enemies right before firing Rain of Darkness.
When not using Steel Tree, DEF increases by 300%. (This buff cannot be removed with buff removal skills.) Karaka removes all debuffs from himself when Steel Tree activates and recovers 20% HP per second while using Steel Tree.
Karaka's DEF increases by 120% and Effect Resistance by 100 in Arenas.

After the buffs, Myeongwol is the best set for Karaka, added HP Recovery Block and Energy Recovery Block to his kit.
Bari is still viable, and will help him survive a while longer, but I wouldn't consider it BiS anymore.
