Tri-Essence Facility Guide

Guide on how the Tri-Essence Facility system works and what to aim for.

What is the Tri-Essence Facility?

Tri-Essence Facility is a system that gives your units additional stats.
It is split in three different facilities, each buffing a different group of units:

  • INT: Support and Mage units are part of this facility.
  • DEX: Assassin and Ranged units are part of this facility.
  • STR: Warrior and Tank units are part of this facility.

  • Every Facility has up to 3 Wheels/Pages, and each Page is made up of 8 nodes.
Every node has 1 Main Stat and 2 Additional Stats.
Main Stats are pre-determined and the stat it rolls cannot be changed.
The same stat cannot appear twice in the same node.
e.g. on the ACC node you cannot roll ACC in the two Additional Stats, as it already appears in the Main Stat.

Both Additional Stat 1 and 2 can roll ATK%, HP%, DEF%, ACC and EVA, but they also have some specific Stats that can only appear in a one of the two:
  • Additional Stat 1 can roll Magic Resistance, Critical Hit Rate, and Lifesteal.
  • Additional Stat 2 can roll Physical Resistance, Critical DMG Increase, and Swiftness.

  • Each stat can roll in one of 4 Ranks: A, B, C and D.
The value that can roll varies depending on the stat, these are the ranges for the most important ones:
  • ACC and EVA - 1 to 20 (no decimals)
  • Swiftness - 0.01 to 4.00
  • Magic Resistance, Physical Resistance, Critical Hit Rate, Critical DMG Increase - 0.01% to 4.00%

  • Flat HP, ATK, and DEF are irrelevant, they do not scale with link levels and should therefore not be taken into account at all.

How to unlock the 2nd and 3rd Pages?

The first thing you have to do in the Tri-Essence Facility is unlock the 2nd and 3rd Pages.
To do that, you have to lock every single A rank stat you get, until all 8 Nodes of the first Page are made of 3 A rank stats.

Once this is done, you will have the option to click on the Awaken button, after which the 2nd Page will open.
Now all you have to do is unlock all 8 Nodes of the 2nd Page, this will give you access to the 3rd Page automatically, without any A rank requirements.

You can now reroll for the stats you want/need, and you will never lose access to the three Wheels.

Example of a Node with all A rank stats

Note: You will have to do this for every Facility.

    How to roll more efficiently?

Once you start rolling for the stats you want/need, it is generally recommended to unlock all stats and focus on the stat that has the lowest % of appearing, in most cases this is going to be Swiftness.
(You can check the rates in-game)

This is important because for every stat you lock, the cost of rerolling increases by 100, and we want to optimize the costs as much as possible.

This is how I go about rerolling my Tri-Essence Facility.
I select the stats I'm looking for in Additional Stat 1, in this case ACC and EVA, and choose a minimum of A rank (This is not the stat I'm going for at first, but if I get a good roll I might still want to keep it)
I select the stats I want for Additional Stat 2 as well, and in this case I'm going for Swiftness. As the minimum rank I pick B, and this is the stat I'm going to focus on.

You keep rerolling at 100 cost until that stat is mid-high B rank roll, then you lock it, and you move on to the next node.
You repeat this until all nodes have the stat you want at mid-high B or above.

Once this is done, you have two options:

  • Reroll some of the lowest rolls you got to improve them.
For example, if you have some 2.3/2.4/2.5 Swiftness you might want to bring them to 2.7+ (not necessary at this stage)
  • Reroll for the other Stat, in this case pick B rank instead of A.
Don't forget to lock the stat you already rolled for.

  • If you want to see visually how to reroll, you can refer to this video.

Which stats should you roll for?

There are a few different setups you can follow.
You will find some more detailed information in the sections below, but here is a summary of the different options.

    Setup When is it good?
    ACC/EVA + Swiftness
  • When you want to push high deficits and you don't have enough ACC (Especially for Hard Mode)
  • When the extra EVA helps you dodge enemy attacks
  • EVA + Swiftness
  • When you already have enough ACC from Archive
  • When the extra EVA helps you dodge enemy attacks
  • ACC + Swiftness
  • When EVA is not effective in your account
  • When your deficit is too high for Resistances to work
  • Generally a safe bet, this is the setup I would recommend to F2P players most of the times
  • Magic Resistance/ACC + Swiftness
  • When your deficit is less than 350
  • When you don't need too much ACC
  • Magic Resistance/ACC + Physical Resistance/Swiftness
  • When your deficit is less than 350
  • When you don't need too much ACC
  • If you prefer to have an easy time building 99% Resistance IW sets at the cost of Swiftness
  • General Recommendation:
I think for most accounts the ACC + Swiftness setup would be the preferred one.

Note: Please note I'm not an expert in PvP, so if you are a Whale and you are looking for a PvP setup, there are better people to ask for it.

    ACC/EVA + Swiftness Setup

    When is this setup good?
  • When you want to push high deficits and you don't have enough ACC (Especially for Hard Mode)
  • When the extra EVA helps you dodge enemy attacks

  • Which stats should you aim for?
    Additional Stat 1:
Stat to Roll # of Rolls Expected Total Stats Facility
ACC 12 258+ INT, DEX, STR
EVA 12 258+ INT, DEX, STR
Adjust the number of ACC and EVA rolls based on your needs.

    Additional Stat 2:
Stat to Roll # of Rolls Expected Total Stats Facility
Swiftness 24 60+ INT, DEX, STR
Roll for Swiftness first, and only after those are done roll for Additional Stat 1.

What is the minimum roll you should accept?
  • For ACC and EVA at least 13 / 14
  • For Swiftness at least 2.4 / 2.5, but in the early rerolling phase you can lock 2.2 / 2.3 as well

  • Considerations
Normal Adventure EVA was nerfed a lot, but Hard mode still has high EVA, so make sure to have enough ACC for the contents you want to clear.
EVA is ONLY relevant if this gives you enough to be 200+ above the enemy ACC, if not use a different setup.
More indicated for whales that have good Archives, because they get a lot of starting EVA from that.
If you are not one of those, EVA is going to fall off pretty quickly.

    EVA + Swiftness Setup

    When is this setup good?
  • When you already have enough ACC from Archive
  • When the extra EVA helps you dodge enemy attacks

  • Which stats should you aim for?
    Additional Stat 1:
Stat to Roll # of Rolls Expected Total Stats Facility
EVA 21 384+ INT, DEX, STR
ACC 3 (in EVA Nodes) 42+ (80+ from ACC Main Node) INT, DEX, STR
In the EVA Main Stat Nodes, run either ACC or Critical Hit Rate.

  • For EVA at least 13 / 14

    ACC + Swiftness Setup

    When is this setup good?
  • When EVA is not effective in your account
  • When your deficit is too high for Resistances to work
  • Generally a safe bet, this is the setup I would recommend to F2P players most of the times

  • Which stats should you aim for?
    Additional Stat 1:
Stat to Roll # of Rolls Expected Total Stats Facility
ACC 21 384+ INT, DEX, STR
Critical Hit Rate 3 (in ACC Nodes) 7.5%+ DEX, STR
Magic Resistance 3 (in ACC Nodes) 7.5%+ INT
In the ACC Main Stat Nodes, run either Critical Hit Rate or Magic Resistance.
For DEX and STR you could actually replace 3 of the 21 ACC rolls with Critical Hit Rate, for a total of 18 ACC rolls and 6 Critical Hit Rate rolls.

  • For ACC at least 13 / 14
  • For Swiftness at least 2.4 / 2.5, but in the early rerolling phase you can lock 2.2 / 2.3 as well

  • Considerations
Normal Adventure EVA was nerfed a lot, so in that content you will have ACC in excess, but don't worry because it will help in Hard Mode.
With this setup you can afford to leave the Additional Stat 1 random for a bit longer and keep rolling at 100 cost for really high rolls of Swiftness.
You will depend on team-building and Bari to make your units survive long enough.

    Cost Expectation
You could expect to spend the following amounts to reach these Swiftness Thresholds:
  • Swiftness ~60 - 200/300K Crystals
  • Swiftness ~75 - 500/700K Crystals
  • Swiftness ~86 - 1.5/2.5M Crystals
  • It could be lower or higher based on your luck, but from my experience that was the amount it normally took me.

    Magic Resistance/ACC + Swiftness Setup

    When is this setup good?
  • When your deficit is less than 350
  • When you don't need too much ACC
  • This setup doesn't feel that good anymore and will have to be replaced eventually, so I would not recommend it.

Which stats should you aim for?
    Additional Stat 1:
Stat to Roll # of Rolls Expected Total Stats Facility
Magic Resistance 16 40%+ INT, DEX, STR
ACC 8 202+ INT, DEX, STR
For DEX and STR you could actually replace the 8 ACC rolls with Critical Hit Rate, if you can afford it.

  • For ACC at least 13 / 14
  • For Magic Resistance and Critical Hit Rate at least 2.5%
  • For Swiftness at least 2.4 / 2.5, but in the early rerolling phase you can lock 2.2 / 2.3 as well

  • Considerations
Normal Adventure EVA was nerfed a lot, but Hard mode still has high EVA, so make sure to have enough ACC for the contents you want to clear.
This setup will give you an easier time when trying to build 99% resistance sets on your units.
Not recommended if you are planning to push high deficits.

    Magic Resistance/ACC + Physical Resistace/Swiftness Setup

    When is this setup good?
  • When your deficit is less than 350
  • When you don't need too much ACC
  • If you prefer to have an easy time building 99% Resistance IW sets at the cost of Swiftness

    Additional Stat 2:
Stat to Roll # of Rolls Expected Total Stats Facility
Swiftness 18 60+ INT, DEX, STR
Physical Resistance 6 15%+ INT, DEX, STR
Roll for Swiftness/Physical Resistance first, and only after those are done roll for Additional Stat 1.
For DEX you could actually replace the 6 Physical Resistance rolls with Swiftness.

What is the minimum roll you should accept?
  • For ACC at least 13 / 14
  • For Magic Resistance, Physical Resistance and Critical Hit Rate at least 2.5%
  • For Swiftness at least 2.4 / 2.5, but in the early rerolling phase you can lock 2.2 / 2.3 as well

  • Considerations
Normal Adventure EVA was nerfed a lot, but Hard mode still has high EVA, so make sure to have enough ACC for the contents you want to clear.
This setup will give you an really easy time when trying to build 99% resistance sets on your units.
Not recommended if you are planning to push high deficits.
